Utah Nonprofit Housing Corporation (UNPHC) is Utah’s largest nonprofit developer, owner, and manager of affordable housing for low and very low-income individuals and families. UNPHC is both a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO).

UNPHC is seeking an Accounting Assistant at its corporate office. This position reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. UNPHC’s Accounting Assistant role will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks following generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), techniques, and practices.
KEY Responsibilities:
· Process daily accounts payable functions including handling purchase orders, invoices, and processing payments
· Perform daily accounts receivable functions including posting rent revenue, rent payments, and accurate bank reconciliations
· Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts promptly
· Generate month-end reports
· Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and facilitate informed decision-making
Qualifications:
· Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting and 1+ years of accounting related experience
· Familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting procedures
· Self-motivated
· Solution-oriented
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Proven ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
· Comfortable with repetitive tasks · Ability to work independently on assigned duties
· Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus

Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday
