Job Description

Barista
As a Starbucks Barista with Fairmont Hotels and Accor, you will be an ambassador for exceptional service. Your warm, personal attention and passion for coffee offerings will make guests feel unique and valued.

What you will be doing:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Follow Starbucks policies, procedures and service standards
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends, and/or holidays
• Follow all cash handling policies and procedures
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience as a Barista an asset
• Food handling certificate
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
• Compute basic arithmetic

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:

• Exert physical effort in carrying 5lbs to 40lbs
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
• Reach 1 to 2 feet
• Remain in stationary position and standing for 6 to 8 hours throughout work shift

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
