In-Home & Community-Based Mental Health Therapist
Location: Cook County (ie. Cook Southwest - Berwyn, Cicero, Justice, Hodgkins, Melrose Park, Summit )

Hours:  Full-Time, 25–40 hours/week (Hourly; flexible scheduling based on client needs and availability)
Work Setting: Hybrid — In-home, community-based, and telehealth sessions
Hourly Rate: $35–$60/hour

Mileage Reimbursement:  Provided for travel between client locations

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time In-Home & Community-Based Mental Health Therapist to provide individual and family therapy in both home and community settings throughout Cook County (ie. Cook Southwest - Berwyn, Cicero, Justice, Hodgkins, Melrose Park, Summit ) .

In this role, you will utilize a client-centered approach, incorporating CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care to address a range of behavioral and mental health challenges. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct, lasting impact on families, while working as part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team.

This is a non-traditional role with flexibility to schedule sessions based on client needs and availability, including after-school hours, evenings, and weekends, as required.

This role is hourly and structured in a way to provide work/life balance, while reaching your individual financial goals. Our clinical team members work between 25-40 hours each week once their caseload has been established.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home and community-based therapy to children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral and mental health challenges, such as suicidal ideation, self-harm, anxiety, depression, trauma, and dysregulation.
  • Implement evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's needs, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and collaborate on safety planning as needed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of session notes, treatment plans, and client progress in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to support ongoing professional growth.
  • Coordinate and schedule sessions based on client needs and availability.
  • Travel between client sessions within the service area (mileage reimbursement provided).

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • You have a strong foundation in mental health and a passion for working with youth and families.
  • You possess professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • You are comfortable working independently, with the flexibility to adjust your schedule based on client needs.
  • You have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (this role involves travel).
