Job Description

Position Description:

The Specialist is responsible for overseeing all insurance authorization process for ABA therapy, including but not limited to: as initial benefit verification, pre-authorization, claims submission, denials, and appeals.

Coordinate with clinical director to check benefits, when needed.

Coordinate with clinical director to achieve pre-authorizations for all therapy codes. This includes: gathering information, submitting using proper method, and following up as needed.

Check eligibility and benefits verification for Medicaid patients monthly

Verify authorizations and follow-up on pending authorizations as needed

Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA Privacy Rule Regulations

Communicate issues, info and support needs to Clinical Director and CEO

Prepare various reports as needed for CEO

Reconcile all issues with online platform and clearinghouse, then submit claims.

Follow up on claims and denials, as needed.

Coordinate with Clinical Director to submit appeals, and follow up on appeals.

Other duties as assigned, requested, and/or necessary

Qualifications:

This person must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication

Experience with billing software preferred

A positive team player and energetic professional

Strong organizational habits with attention to detail and accuracy

Good time management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Ability to analyze/solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills, specifically able to communicate via phone with insurance providers to receive needed information.

Pay range, $18-$21, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00- $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8am-430pm (with 30 minute lunch break) or similar

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

Authorization & Billing: 1 year or more preferred

Work Location: Marion, IN office, with travel to Wabash, IN as needed.
