Description We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Oxnard, California. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization through detailed analysis, reporting, and management of cost-related data. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in standard costing, inventory reconciliation, and production cost evaluation to support effective decision-making. Responsibilities: - Analyze and report on production work orders to evaluate cost performance and profitability. - Maintain and update standard costing systems to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Collaborate with production management to develop and implement cost-effective solutions. - Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and cost allocation processes. - Prepare detailed reports on standard costing and provide insights to support management decisions. - Monitor and analyze inventory costs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals. - Support the implementation and maintenance of cost management information systems. - Conduct performance evaluations of work orders and identify areas for cost optimization. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain the integrity of financial data. Requirements - Proven experience in cost accounting, including standard costing and inventory analysis. - Strong proficiency in production accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently. - Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. - Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus. - Integrity, credibility, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. - Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.
