Frontend Loader Operator

Advance, NC

About the Role:

The Equipment Operator (Front-End Loader) plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the facility in Advance, NC. This position is responsible for operating loaders and small forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, directly supporting a smooth production flow and effective inventory management. The operator must maintain a high standard of safety and equipment care to prevent accidents and minimize downtime. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and adherence to company safety protocols are essential to support daily operations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate front-end loaders, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move, stack, and transport materials across the facility. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments, understands inventory management processes, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain certification)
• Proven experience as a forklift or heavy equipment operator
• Familiarity with industrial equipment and warehouse safety procedures
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Working Conditions

• Warehouse or industrial setting with exposure to varying temperatures
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and equipment operation for extended periods
• May require overtime based on operational needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
• Additional certifications related to equipment operation or safety training
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Key Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, or containers
• Transport materials to and from designated areas, machines, or docks
• Stack, stage, and organize materials in a safe and orderly manner
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and report any issues immediately
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate documentation
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team and facility operations

The required skills enable the operator to handle forklifts safely and efficiently, ensuring materials are moved without damage or delay. Attention to safety protocols is critical to prevent workplace accidents and maintain compliance with regulations. Physical stamina and coordination are necessary to operate equipment and perform manual tasks throughout the workday. Preferred skills such as familiarity with inventory systems enhance the operator’s ability to track and manage materials accurately. Effective communication skills support collaboration with colleagues, ensuring smooth workflow and timely problem resolution.
