Job Description
Food & Beverage Manager - New Marriott Hotel
Come be part of something special at our new dual-brand Marriott property at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in the winter of 2025. Our primary food and beverage outlet will be the 1824 Kitchen and Bar. 1824 features a casual dining experience with American fare. The restaurant will initially open for dinner only, but will also open for lunch in mid-2026.
There is already substantial buzz about 1824 within the community, and it will be a favorite for both locals and hotel guests.
The Hotel Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's dining operations, including the restaurant and bar. This leadership role demands a high standard of food and beverage service, drives revenue, controls costs, and motivates staff to exceed guest expectations.
Please note that this is not a fast food restaurant, nor does the restaurant utilize pre-packaged or microwaved foods. Only candidates with a true sit-down dining restaurant F&B experience will be considered.
Please also note that we are not recruiting or relocating international candidates.
Company Benefits Include:
• Health insurance
• Dental insurance
• Vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off
• Annual bonus package based on meeting F&B goals
Upon submission of your application, you will be sent a personality profile assessment. You must take that assessment if you wish to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily food and beverage operations, including staff, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee the brand standard, complimentary, full hot breakfast.
• Ensure top-tier service and customer satisfaction across all dining outlets.
• Collaborate with the management team on menu development, pricing, and food quality.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control waste and food costs.
• Implement and maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Analyze guest feedback and implement service improvements.
• Work with the hotel General Manager on a marketing plan to drive local business to the facility.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a food and beverage management role, preferably in a sit-down restaurant, hotel, or resort. Note: Fast food management does not qualify for this position. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
• Knowledge of hospitality software (POS, inventory, scheduling). We will be using Toast as our POS system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred.
