Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Fremont, California. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to grow their HR career, as training will be provided to support your development. You will play an essential role in assisting with various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations within the department. Responsibilities: - Manage accurate and timely data entry into HR systems to maintain employee records. - Assist with onboarding processes, including handling required paperwork for new hires. - Support payroll tasks, including certified payroll operations, with training provided. - Track employee time and attendance using the Aspire mobile system. - Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. - Contribute to the organization of HR files and documentation for easy accessibility. - Participate in additional HR-related projects or tasks as assigned. Requirements - Previous experience or education in Human Resources or related field is preferred. - Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail. - Familiarity with onboarding processes and handling employee paperwork, is an advantage. - Basic knowledge of payroll systems; experience in certified payroll is a plus, is an advantage. - Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Experience with time tracking tools, such as Aspire, is an advantage. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
