Job Title: Logistics Coordinator – Nights and Weekends
Department: Logistics/ Operations
Reports To: Logistics Manager or Operations Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried)
Schedule: Thursday & Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-8pm (additional if needed)
Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator – Nights & Weekends is responsible for coordinating and supporting logistics operation to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods during extended and weekend hours. The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient freight scheduling, communication with carriers and drivers, and real-time issue resolution to uphold service standard and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Serve as the primary contact for drivers, carries, and warehouse personnel during evening and weekend shifts.
• Monitor transportation schedules, tracking systems, and load progress to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate shipment updates, delays, and exceptions to internal teams and customers.
• Prepare and maintain shipment documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and tracking reports.
• Support dispatch planning, route coordination, and weekend logistics operations.
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues, damaged goods, and carrier discrepancies.
• Collaborate with weekday logistics staff to ensure smooth handoffs and operational consistency.
• Maintain accurate records in logistics and ERP systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of freight scheduling, carrier communication, and delivery tracking.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem- solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during off-hours.
• Reliable and flexible to meet occasional schedule changes or extended operational needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift to 25-50lbs.
• Work environment both office and warehouse settings.
