Join Our Team as a Material Handling Equipment Specialist

Are you ready to take on a mission-critical role ensuring the seamless operation of our warehouse? As a key player, you'll dive into the repairs and upkeep of forklifts and other material handling machinery. Your expertise will help maintain the rhythm of warehouse dynamics, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Delve into troubleshooting efforts and execute thorough maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems of forklifts.
• Take charge of rebuilding and replacing major machinery parts such as masts, engines, and transmissions.
• Conduct safety and compliance inspections aligning with OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure the optimal performance of batteries and chargers based on industry standards.
• Employ a variety of instruments to evaluate equipment performance, ensuring reliability.
• Perform regular checks on safety equipment to uphold regulations.
• Keep meticulous records of preventative maintenance in our CMMS.
• Maintain a tidy, organized workspace, embracing 6S principles, and be ready for required housekeeping tasks.
• Mentor less-tenured technicians, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Flexibility in shifts, and readiness for on-call responsibilities, supporting vibrant operations.
• Tackle any additional assignments with enthusiasm and commitment.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED paired with over two years of relevant experience in forklift maintenance.
• Alternatively, a solid four years in similar mechanical roles can be equally beneficial.
• Commit to and conquer training in technical mechanics and HAZMAT certification.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills like email and data entry.

Preferred Credentials

• A background in cold storage settings offers a definitive edge.
• Enhanced training from specialized courses (e.g., Crown or Raymond forklift certifications).
• A technical degree or certification stands out.
• Talents in advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with the Oracle CMMS platform is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

Be prepared to adapt to variable climates, work in elevated areas over 35 feet, and routinely engage in physically demanding tasks. Physical and respiratory exams ensure job readiness.
