Ready to solve complex machining puzzles in Marshfield, WI?

Do you enjoy reading a blueprint and instantly visualizing workholding, tooling, and toolpaths? Can you move from setup to first-article to steady production on a 2–4 axis lathe or a 3–4 axis VMC without missing a beat? If so, you will fit right in.

Your Challenge

• Translate drawings and work orders into accurate machine setups and efficient cycle plans.
• Operate CNC lathes or mills; verify parts and keep quality within spec throughout the run.
• Tune programs at the control using G- and M-code edits as needed.
• Troubleshoot tooling wear, chatter, and dimensional drift; perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain a tidy, safe workstation and follow all shop safety protocols.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to refine processes and elevate output.

What It Takes

• High school diploma/equivalent; advanced machining training or certification is beneficial.
• Demonstrated experience operating CNC lathes or mills.
• Deep familiarity with machining methods, tooling, and precision measurement.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.
• Meticulous, quality-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working solo or as part of a high-performing team.
• Commitment to safe manufacturing practices.

Must-Have Capabilities

• Programming competency with the ability to edit on the fly.
• Strong command of G-code and M-code.
• Proven track record setting up machines for production runs.
• Manual machining proficiency for quick adjustments and secondary ops.
