This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in groundbreaking work within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in leading-edge fields such as biologics, gene therapy, and diagnostics.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on developing strong intellectual property portfolios and navigating regulatory challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive freedom-to-operate, patentability, and due diligence analyses to aid corporate transactions and partnerships.
  • Manage foreign patent prosecution through collaboration with a global network and develop effective responses to the USPTO.
  • Work alongside litigation teams to offer technical insights in patent enforcement and defense.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in a State Bar.
  • Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • 1-5 years of experience in patent prosecution, ideally within biotechnology or life sciences.
  • An advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant life sciences discipline, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics.
  • Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills.
