Role: QA Engineer with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)

Location: Remote, Must work EST Hours!

Work Authorization: Green Card, US Citizen, h1b (if valid 1-140)

• We are seeking a Seasoned QA Engineer to support a large-scale migration of legacy applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing, a strong understanding of QA best practices, and the ability to quickly assess and implement a robust test strategy.
• This is a hands-on role requiring parallel testing across both legacy and cloud-based systems to ensure functional parity and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for legacy-to-GCP application migrations.
• Conduct manual testing of migrated applications to validate functionality, performance, and data consistency between systems.
• Perform parallel testing between legacy platforms and GCP to identify discrepancies or issues.
• Collaborate closely with development and cloud engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Utilize modern QA tools to identify automation opportunities and potentially develop light automation suites.
• Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Provide QA sign-off for applications post-migration and support post-deployment validation activities.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of QA experience with strong manual testing expertise.
• Working on cloud migration projects, preferably to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ability to create and execute test strategies for complex, distributed systems.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal ramp-up - able to "hit the ground running".
• Experience performing parallel testing across legacy and cloud-based systems.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Teradata or Snowflake in a testing or validation capacity.
• Familiarity with Automation QA tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, Postman) and basic understanding of how they can be leveraged for automation
