A healthcare facility in Maryville is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join its night-shift team. This role includes coverage of L&D procedures, triage, and newborn stabilization, with required floating to units aligned with the nurse’s skill set. Client name is intentionally omitted for confidentiality.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive L&D nursing care, including:
Triage assessments
Inductions
Cesarean sections
External versions
Non-stress tests (NSTs)
Circumcision support
Newborn resuscitation and stabilization
Magnesium sulfate administration
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Float to other units as needed and within scope of competency.
Provide weekend coverage and take required call shifts.
Document using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required).
Active Tennessee RN license – Required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience – Required
No first-time travelers
1 year of EPIC experience – Required
Required certifications:
BLS
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN Intermediate
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical care skills related to obstetrics.
COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
Flu Vaccine: Required (No exemptions permitted)
