Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes a 60-minute break)
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Temporary Assignment)
Pay Rate: $60/hour
NYP Queens Medical Group is seeking a skilled Echocardiogram Technician for a 13-week assignment to perform pediatric and adult echocardiographic procedures. This role requires expertise in ultrasound technology and a strong clinical understanding of cardiology imaging in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Perform pediatric and adult echocardiograms, ensuring accuracy and quality of imaging.
Operate all echocardiogram equipment efficiently and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper handling of ultrasound supplies and instruments.
Accurately record and label diagnostic data, maintaining patient records according to protocol.
Recognize clinical conditions or patient responses that require the attention of a physician or nurse, and act accordingly.
Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Follow all hospital safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of an approved Echocardiogram Training Program is required.
Must hold current Echocardiography certification from either CCI or ARDMS (Echo) .
Pediatric echocardiography experience is required.
Must have 2 years of experience working as an Echocardiogram Technician I.
Must possess basic clerical skills for patient documentation and data entry.
Must be able to recognize and report patient conditions requiring clinical intervention.
This is a contract role and not eligible for relocation; local candidates preferred.
Immediate start preferred; assignment may be extended based on performance and department needs.
