About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to join our Trust Department. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and brings strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to the team. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency. A regular in-office presence in our Miami office is essential for collaboration, training, and relationship-building across teams.
Position Overview:
As Accounting Staff – Trust, you will support both the Trust Department and the National Trust Team with a variety of trust and general accounting responsibilities. You’ll play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day trust account functions.
Record trust deposits and manage accounts receivable processes
Prepare and reconcile daily bank account activity
Review, verify, and accurately record trust account transactions
Record trust cash disbursements and manage accounts payable
Assist with other general accounting duties as needed
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving, follow-through, and decision-making capabilities
Professional communication skills (both verbal and written)
Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment
Experience in a law firm or familiarity with real estate trust transactions is a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Proficient with accounting software and able to quickly learn new applications
