NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Staff Associate at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes in Sacramento CA. Our funeral team assumes the crucial role of ensuring seamless operations throughout every stage of the delicate client family life cycle from the initial meeting with families until final arrangements are made. We serve as the cornerstone of our client family support structure acting as the glue that holds everything together. Responsibilities

• Bathroom facilities are clean and odor free; light bulbs are not out; no cobwebs on the ceilings of your cemetery/funeral home mausoleum etc.; stains or not on the floors or in the sinks; plenty of paper towels tissues toilet paper etc. and soap available.
• Carrying out funeral services such as decedent intakes; transferring and lifting of deceased human remains; dressing and casketing; coordinating and assisting with funeral service and visitation; delivering flowers caskets urn photos and other personal keepsakes or mementos of client families; the setting and the removal of chairs and proper care and storage of these items in a professional manner.
• Assist Funeral Directors with funeral rites and rituals performance in a professional dignified and ethical manner.
• Receive and inventory caskets and other funeral home supplies.
• General maintenance of buildings grounds and vehicles (including washing and cleaning of funeral vehicles) as per Cleaning Schedule and Maintenance log or as needed.
• Walk facility inside and out picking up any debris or issues that would detract from the firms reputation for quality.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with families.
• Answer customer inquiries professionally either by phone or in person other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service preferred
• Experience handling difficult situations
• Funeral professional experience preferred
• Ability to work a schedule that changes week-to-week

Compensation

• $20.00/hr.
