A growing energy developer is looking for a Technical Sales Representative. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field. Must have 5+ years of experience in business development or technical sales in energy, industrial systems, or related sectors. 100% remote position. Extensive travel. Should be based in the Midwest or Southeastern US. Salary, commission and benefits. location: Chicago, Illinois job type: Permanent salary: $85,000 - 95,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities Identify and engage with industrial, commercial, and institutional prospects interested in energy solutions (solar, energy efficiency, demand reduction). Lead the full sales lifecycle: outreach, discovery, proposal development, and deal closing. Collaborate with internal engineering, preconstruction, and operations teams to deliver tailored proposals. Educate prospects on available technologies, financial structures (e.g., PPAs, leases, energy services agreements), and incentive programs. Track market trends, policy developments, and competitive intelligence across both the renewable and industrial energy sectors. Represent company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
