We are looking for a Temporary Design Assistant to join our private label team for about 6-8 weeks . This is a full-time position that requires you to be in the office 5 days a week. This role is great for someone looking to grow their design career as we offer many advancement opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Using Photoshop to CAD sketches with prints (something we can teach you, but proficiency in Photoshop preferred!) 
• Creating charts and presentations to be used both internally and for our store's buying teams
• Setting up for meetings and presentations
• Creating and overseeing design sample charts, internally and to the customer. Sending and tracking all samples to customer.
• Working with designer to source trim and fabric for the collection 
• Setting up initial tech packs (designer handles most specs, but there is room for growth in this area if you are skilled with specs)
• Attending all meetings and fittings to take notes and help where needed 
• Ability to communicate/articulate design info to customer

Requirements

• Must have a degree in fashion design 
• Minimum 1+ year of fashion design experience 
• Proficiency in Photoshop and PowerPoint 
• Excellent Time Management Skills 
• Ability to multi-task with many assignments at once 
• Adherence to strict deadlines
• A great attitude for working in a team oriented environment
• A go-getter with the ability and motivation to work unsupervised when necessary

The salary range for this temporary role is dependent upon candidate experience between $21-31/hour.
