Veterinary Assistant Mahomet Animal Hospital (Mahomet, IL)
Mahomet Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. We are a friendly, community-focused practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.
About the Role:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll support our veterinarians and technicians with a variety of daily tasks, including:
Assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures
Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
Administering medications, vaccinations, and anesthesia under doctor's supervision
Assisting with lab work, imaging, and surgical prep
Providing client education and excellent customer service
Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8 am 6 p,m with o ne set weekday off each week
Rotating Saturdays
What We’re Looking For:
Previous veterinary or animal care experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
