Business Systems Analyst

Location: Houston, TX


Description:

• Job Title Business Systems Anaylst II
  Duties Epic Applications Support manage all phases of a system optimization or upgrade project and provides production services such as recommending improvements to strategy, system usage, or process through the application of business and technology skill sets.
• Reviews and analyzes programming systems including testing and documenting Epic applications.
• Consults with customers to identify current operation procedures and to clarify program objectives.
• Additional responsibilities include workflow administration, data management and performing minor modifications to the application.
• TCP/TCUC role may require evening/weekend work as well as travel to practices sites, including but may not be limited to travel within Houston and Austin.

Responsibility A: Collaborates with internal core stakeholders to identify system issues and process needs,ensures EMR and other systems are being optimized.

Responsibility B: Supports business/clinical operations and serves as liaison to I.S. supporting continued system maintenance and optimization.

Responsibility C: Works with I.S. and customers to perform functional configuration analysis for system implementations, on-going maintenance and other projects.

Responsibility D: Analyzes system problems and modifications.

Responsibility E: Coordinates training of systems.

Skills

Knowledge of current business practices and Epic systems, interfaces, and standard healthcare software. Familiarity with a variety of hardware and software environments.
A working knowledge of the healthcare industry is also required.
Basic knowledge of healthcare applications.
Knowledge of Epic applications preferred.
For complete satisfactory performance in this job, the incumbent will have knowledge of project management andplanning, process mapping, group presentation, written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills, ability to analyze the functionality of systems and their fit with specifications.
The ability to troubleshoot basic problems and recommend appropriate action is required.
1+ year of experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation).

Education Required- High School Diploma; Required-7 years experience in healthcare operations and/or information
systems implementation; Bachelor's degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience. Master's degree will substitute for two (2) years of
work experience.
